I don’t make a huge effort with my corporate wardrobe on a day to day basis so I gravitate towards neutrals in simple, flattering cuts. This type of capsule wardrobe is perfect for me to just alternate the tops and bottoms without having to worry at all about clashing.
Okay, maybe one or two extra dresses wouldn’t go astray, but really, this wardrobe is very manageable! Particularly if you’re running from one place to the next, capsule dressing is a real time saver. When I say capsule dressing, I actually mean “I’ve sold most of my impulse purchases on eBay dressing” but that doesn’t sound as good, does it?
I rarely change up the accessories. Black heels are a must, along with a pair of flats for walking to and from the train station. Some may find this look a little boring but I personally love it and feel most comfortable dressing simply. If you are one of those people who manage to be perfectly accessorised, stylish, on trend AND inject your quirkiness/personality into your outfits, I hate you. Just kidding, please keep doing what you’re doing so I can ogle you during my 9 to 5.

I love these clothing items! I work in a bank so my wardrobe is pretty much like this too. I do love dresses though, impair them with blazers 🙂

Thank you. I see that you have done a lot of travelling, what a fantastic lifestyle you have and how great that your career allows you to travel 🙂
I love these type of simple professional pieces. They are so easy to match with anything.
love these clothes. what stores carry the black and tan dresses shown above?
Hi Beth, the black dress is BOUCHRA JARRAR and the tan top is UNIQLO.
I love the items you have picked and would like you to do a monthly capsule of the minimalist style. Breath taking, where did you find the skirts.
